शारदा समूह में पार्टी नेताओं के शामिल होने का कितना खामियाजा भुगतना होगा, यह तो वक्त बतायेगा, लेकिन इस मामले शारदा समूह के नजदीकी बताये जा रहे मंत्री मदन मित्र की साख में भारी गिरावट आयी है।उनकी अगुवायी में कोलकाता ​मेट्रो रेल में तृणमूल कर्मचारी संगठन को मेट्रो रेलवे ​​युनि​यन चुनाव में भारी शिकस्त मिली है। तृणमूल को १५ फीसद के आसपास वोट मिले हैं, जबकि वामपंथी उम्मीदवोरों को भारी जीत ​​हासिल हुई है।आसनसोल रेलवे डिवीजन में भी तृणमूल रेलवे कर्मचारी संगठन को भारी हार का मुंह देखना पड़ा । वहां भी भारी अंतर से कांग्रेस, तृणमूल और भाजपा के वामपंथियों ने पराजित कर दियाइसी बीच अपने भतीजे अभिषेक बंद्योपाध्याय के खिलाफ मुख्यमंत्री आवास से ही संदिग्ध व्यवसाय चलाने के माकपाई आरोपों के बीच मुख्यमंत्री ममता बंद्योपाध्याय के सगे भाई चिटफंड विरोधी जिहाद में शामिल हो गये हैं। इसका अगले तमाम तरह के चुनावों पर तृणमूल को जनादार अटूट रखने में मुश्किल हो सकती है।

अभिषेक बंद्योपाध्याय किसी लीप्स एंड बाउंड्स नाम की कंपनी के कर्णधार बताये जाते हैं और यह कंपनी रियल्टी और फाइनेंसियल कंसल्टेन्सी का ​​कारोबार चलाती है। माकपा नेता गौतम देव ने अपने विरुद्ध अभिषेक के मानहानि दावे के बावजूद आज टीवी चैनल पर खुलेआम आरोप लगाया कि अभिषेक की यह कंपनी मुख्यमंत्री आवास से अपना कारोबार चलाते हुए मुख्यमंत्री की साक का बेजां इस्तेमाल कर रही है।।(अभिषेक बंद्योपाध्याय की कंपनी के संबंध में जानकारी के लिए देखें ।(अभिषेक बंद्योपाध्याय की कंपनी के संबंध में जानकारी के लिए देखें (http://leapsandbounds.co.in/ourleadership.php)!

खास बात तो यह है कि मुख्यमंत्री के भाई कार्तिक जो अब तक चिटफंड कारोबार के खिलाफ मुखर हुए हैं, उन्होंने अपनी पत्रिका `विवेक' में चिटफंड कारोबार में शामिल मंत्रियों के खिलाफ मुहिम शुरु कर दी है। गौरतलब है कि कार्तिक विवेक नाम से ही एक स्वयंसेवी संस्था चलाते हैं। इस संस्था का मुखपत्र विवेक पहली मई को प्रकाशित हुआ।कार्तिक ने चिटपंड कंपनियों के फर्जी समाजसेवा कार्यक्रमों की जमकर खबर लेते हुए राज्यवासियों को लूटने के इस कारोबार में र्ज्य के मंत्रियों के शामिल  होने की भी गंभीर आलोचना की है।शारदा समूह के पर्जीवाड़े का खुलासा करते हुए मंत्री से लेकर संतरी तक , प्राशासनिक व पुलिस अधिकारियों की मिलीबगत के बारे में भी कार्तिक ने खुलकर लिखा है।अपने आलेख में कार्तिक बंद्योपाध्याय ने किसी के साथ कोई रियायत नहीं की है।

गौरतलब है कि विपक्ष को शारदा चिटफंड घोटले का फायदा उठाने से रोकने के लिए पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी गुरुवार को सड़क पर आज से ही सड़क पर उतरने लगी हैं और इस मामले की जिम्मेदारी अपने पूर्ववर्तीयों पर डालने की भरसक कोशिश कर रही हैं।

तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सांसद डेरेक ओब्रायन ने कहा है, 'चिटफंड 70 और 80 के दशक की विरासत है। इन वर्षों में सीपीएम और कांग्रेस दूसरी ओर थे, अब वे फरिश्ता होने का प्रदर्शन नहीं कर सकते।'

तृणमूल के राज्यसभा सदस्य ने कहा, 'सुदीप्तो सेन की गिरफ्तारी के लिए सरकार की ओर से उठाया गया कदम इस बात का प्रमाण है कि बंगाल से इस बुराई को समाप्त करने के लिए हम कितने गंभीर हैं।'उन्होंने कहा, 'ममता बनर्जी अपने तरीके से पूरे बंगाल में इस संदेश को पहुंचाने के लिए आगे आकर नेतृत्व करेंगी और उन लोगों के साथ खड़ा होंगी जिन्हें ठगा गया है।'
