SANSKRITI EXPRESS ARRIVED AT BALLYGUNGE STATION
Kolkata: Tuesday, August 05, 2010 29.
After visiting different stations of East Central Railway, North East Frontier Railway and Eastern Railway, Sanskrit Express, an Exhibition Train, which was flagged off by Mamata Banerjee, Union Minister for Railways, on the birthday of Kaviguru Rabindranath Tagore to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Kaviguru Rabindranath Tagore, reached Ballygunge station today.
This Exhibition Train will be there up to 6 August, 2010. Thereafter, the train will reach Baruipur on 7 August, 2010 and stay there upto 8 August, 2010.
Since 26 June the Exhibition Train has been visited by about 7 lakhs visitors.
This train will travel all over the country touching many stations and return to Bolpur on 8 May, 2011.
The Exhibition Train is having five (5) air-conditioned coaches, modified at Liluah Railway Workshop in which life and philosophy of Kaviguru have been presented.
This train will remain open from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. from 5-6 August, 2010 at Ballygunge station, so that common people can visit the train. Entry in this Exhibition train is free.
