Hi,
Governance Now is organising a day-long seminar on Bihar as a precursor to the elections there. The overall theme of the event is "BIHAR ON THE MOVE".
The event is on Saturday, August 21 at the Indian Islamic Centre, at Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
Highlights of the event:
10:30 pm: MJ Akbar, editor of Sunday Guardian and one of India's most respected editors, will deliver the Inaugural Address on the new Bihar.
11: 15 am to 3 pm: Three panel discussion on the following themes: "BRANDED BIHAR TO BRAND BIHAR": The turnaround story; WHAT BIHAR NEEDS NEXT: More development, more jobs, private investment and industry; and WHAT BIHAR NEEDS MOST: Political consensus and getting over the deep divisions of caste.
03:00 pm: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will deliver a Special Address on THE BIHAR OF MY DREAMS. This discussion will be followed by a free-wheeling discussion on the Bihar political landscape ahead of the upcoming election. Engaging the Chief Minister in the conversation will be Uday Shankar, CEO Star India and a former Editor of Star News, our media partner for the event.
This is to request your presence at the conference. I would love you to spend the day with us but since I know that is not possible, please pick the time you want to be there. Hope to see you there.
Regards,
Trithesh Nandan
