Islam does not support terrorism and Muslim youth should choose the 'correct path' to help the country progress, Jamiat Ulama-E-Hind Secretary General M A Madani said on Saturday.

"We Muslims are not terrorists but its those who refer to us so... Islam does not support terrorism... I would like to tell the youngsters that you are our backbone, our future.

"You should choose the right path... Good education will help us do it. Good health would help you to think better and thus help the country to flourish," he told a public meeting in Kolkata.

Not only biometric digital nation,it is going to be a smart police state apart from being a military state all the way as in Guwahati, Advocating the concept of 'SMART' policing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said a country which has an efficient intelligence network does not need any arms and ammunition to run the government.Mind you,India remains the best ally of United States Of America under strategic atomic alliance with zionist Israel.

The national media is focusing on Kolkata today as under judicial intervention as well proactive judicial supervision Sangh Pariwar launched an ultimate aggression to capture Bengal as it seems it has failed to capture Kashmir and it intends to grab Tamilnadu, Punjab and the North East.Incidentally, the Prime minister is holding a public rally in Guwahati also as his righthand man,Amit Sah is addressing Bengal from Kolkata.A day after the Calcutta High Court gave conditional permission to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah to hold a rally in Kolkata on Sunday, the city's municipal corporation on Saturday finally granted the leader a go ahead for his venture.

But kolkata has a silverling also and we should not miss it as day before the so much so hyped BJP rally in the heart of Kolkata, more than Two lac Muslims pledged to sustain the secular and democratic India. The Ambedkarites as well as the Left and all whoever is concerned for Indian democratic republic should weigh this emerging equation in resistance of the economic ethnic cleansing, racial apartheid and environmental disaster against omnipotent, omnipresent US interest and the foreign capital all on name of war against terror.

Traffic in the eastern metropolis virtually came to a standstill Saturday as lakhs of supporters of the West Bengal unit of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind held a massive rally protesting the branding of madrassas as "breeding ground of terrorist activities" following the Oct 2 Burdwan blast.

Indian Express reports:A public meeting called by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (JUH) to protest "the campaign against madrasas" saw the protesters clashing with police and damaging several vehicles and one of the oldest clubs in central Kolkata after a rumour spread about a youth from the minority community allegedly suffering grievous injuries in an accident during the rally. The clash left 11 police personnel, including two assistant commissioners, injured even as the traffic management collapsed resulting in bottlenecks at several locations causing inconvenience to the commuters. - See more at:

Truckloads of associates of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind converged at the Shahid Minar grounds in the central part of the city to raise their voices against the linking of terrorist activities with madrassas.

Arterial stretches connecting the north and southern parts of Kolkata to the central hub were clogged with vehicles as the rallyists marched towards the Minar from key locations in the city like Howrah, Sealdah and Park Circus railway stations.

According to the organisation's Bengal unit president Siddiqullah Chowdhury, the allegations were creating a divide between Hindus and Muslims.

"Madrassas are not centres for promoting terrorist activities. It is an insult to us... the anti-Islamic comments that are circulating, blaming Muslims for terrorist activities in the state," he said.

The accidental bomb explosion in a house in Khagragarh in Burdwan district left two suspected Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) militants dead and another injured and broke the lead on the most sensational jihadi terrorist conspiracy in the state in recent times.

The incident brought the madrasas under scanner with the National Investigation Agency, that is probing the blasts, claiming that the accused and other recruits were trained at madrassas in Simulia and Lalgola in Burdwan and Murshidabad districts, respectively.

"There are terrorist forces which are trying to put a blot on our image and force us to go the wrong path," said the organisation's general secretary Mahmood Madani.

"After several hurdles and obstacles by the state government,i will address a public rally in Kolkata today. The permission given by the High court is the victory of masses," Shah posted in a Facebook post.

Shah, who is addressing  the rally, arrived in Kolkata on Sunday morning.

The address comes after the city's municipal corporation on Saturday finally granted the leader a go ahead for his venture.

"The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has granted permission to BJP President Amit Shah's rally tomorrow," Mayor in-council Debasish Kumar told media on Saturday.

In fact, the fire brigade in Kolkata had also given its nod to the party.

While the NOCs from both the bodies were received later in the day, the party began its preparations for the rally in front of the famous Victoria House at the heart of the city from Saturday morning.

State party spokesman Ritesh Tiwari was quoted by media as hailing the move a "moral victory" of BJP, which has accused the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) of trying to create hurdles in order to stall the rally.

The Calcutta High Court on Friday allowed the BJP chief to hold rally outside the Victoria House, a popular venue for political meetings in Kolkata on Sunday.

The High Court however asked the BJP to "comply with statutes" of the city's civic body and fire brigade and appointed two special officers to assist the party.

The Calcutta High court had also directed the BJP to have technical experts to carry out the compliance order of the special officers.

The court had relaxed the municipal norm of leaving 20 feet open space in front of the stage on grounds of reasonable logistics.

The move comes after Trinamool Congress-run KMC and Fire Services on Thursday refused to grant permission to BJP president Amit Shah's rally.

Meanwhile on Saturday, clashes erupted between BJP and TMC party workers in the Parui area of Birbhum.

Indian Express reports:Alleging that the Burdwan blast incident was being used by certain circles with vested interests to malign the entire madrasa system and those associated with it, speakers under the banner of the state unit of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind organised a rally in Burdwan on Monday to condemn the attack on madrasas as breeding ground for terror activities.

Claiming that such attacks on madrasas will not help the community, Siddiqullah Chowdhury, general secretary of the state committee of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind said no madrasa in West Bengal should be closed down either on account of panic or as an administrative measure. Urging all madrasas to resume normal classes and teachings, Chowdhury said any attack on madrasas will have serious repercussions.

"Some bearded criminals are involved in the Burdwan bomb blast. But this incident of criminals should not be used to malign an entire madrasa system,"

Chowdhury said, while demanding exemplary punishment for the culprits. He added that people linked to madrasas should take a vow that no untoward incident be allowed to be perpetrated in these.

Chowdhury said that the previous government under Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee fell soon after he described illegal madrasas as cradle of terrorist activities that spewed anti-national elements, adding that the present Mamata Banerjee-led  government will also have to face the same fate if it does not restrain the police excesses. "You do not need to take shelter behind a madrasa to indulge in a subversive activity. One can do it from any platform," he said.

The Muslim leader said if one goes by the BJP's analysis of five to seven per cent of Muslims in madrasas to be involved in "jihadi activity" in West Bengal, this would imply that no less than 15 lakh Muslims have a "jihadi" background. "These are dangerous utterances," Siddiquallah warned, adding that these could alienate the entire community.

Earlier, Rafiqul, a spokesperson of the All India United Democratic Front, said it was pointless to malign the entire madrasa system. "The land of Bengal is the land of democracy and communal harmony. It should not be vitiated by narrow political gains," he said.

Maulana Imtiaz, a Burdwan-based leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind said a madrasa is no place for violence. "It preaches peace and amity. Muslims are as much patriotic and nationalist as any other citizen in the country," Imtiaz said.

Asim Chatterjee, a former Naxalite, who joined the rally said Muslims should not think they are alone and assured them that thousands of Hindus will stand to support them if any attack was launched on their community.
