Ten years on, time to reflect on 'war on terror'

This month marked the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the US and the launch of the so-called 'war on terror' which is still being pursued in various guises. In response to the September 11 attacks, the US, UK and other Western countries carried out illegal wars against Muslim countries and enacted anti terror legislations targeting the Muslim communities. We need to reflect on these aberrations on our human liberty and what we used to stand for and see how we can begin to turn a new leaf.
